He’s a seasoned journalist with a career spanning over two decades.  Sabadie was part of two baseball state championship-winning teams at PJP II in 1997 and 1998. He holds a B.A. in Mass Communication from LSU (2003) and an M.A. in Journalism from USC (2005). 

Television has been Sabadie’s full-time profession since 2005, and he has been serving the South Louisiana region, covering both Baton Rouge and New Orleans markets, since 2007.

Over the years, Chad Sabadie has worked with various news organizations, including WWL-TV in New Orleans and WAFB-TV in Baton Rouge. His dedication to his craft and commitment to delivering accurate and impactful news have earned him numerous awards and accolades.

Chad Sabadie’s unwavering dedication to journalism and his genuine passion for serving his community have made him a respected and trusted figure in the broadcasting industry. With nearly 20 years of experience in local news in southeast Louisiana, he joined the LSU Manship School in 2023. He leads special projects like the Manship School Sports Summit and The Olympics Project and teaches sports communication and reporting courses.

During his tenure at WDSU from 2021-2023, he received many accolades, including a Suncoast Emmy for reporting on Hurricane Ida, as well as awards from the Louisiana Association of Broadcasters and New Orleans Press Club. He began teaching as an adjunct instructor at Manship School in 2016.

Beyond his professional life, Sabadie is a dedicated family man. He is married to Brooke, and together they have three children, Ellis Cade, 10, Brynn, 9, and Carsyn, 5.
